Serves 12

  • 3 cups Pictsweet frozen Chopped Spinach
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Pictsweet frozen Chopped Onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 18 slices dry bread with crusts removed
  • 12 slices sharp American cheese
  • 2 cups cubed ham
  • 6 lightly beaten eggs
  • 3 cups milk


Thaw spinach and drain. Sauté the onions in butter until transparent, add thawed spinach and pepper and continue cooking 2 to 3 minutes. Cut the bread slices into triangles. Place layer of bread in a 9 x 13 greased baking pan. Follow with a layer of cheese, a layer of spinach mixture and a layer of ham. Repeat layers. Pour a mixture of the eggs and milk over the layers. Cover and chill in refrigerator for 8 to 10 hours. Bake at 325 degrees for one hour.
