In a large pot, sauté onion and garlic in butter. Add the chili powder, cumin, oregano and bay leaf, and cook for 5 minutes. Add chicken broth, frozen corn, tomato sauce, salt, sugar, and pepper. De-bone and shred rotisserie chicken. Add to soup. Stir and simmer until thoroughly heated. Garnish with sour cream, grated cheese, chopped green onion or crushed tortilla chips, if desired.
