Serves 8

  • 8 cups Pictsweet frozen Sliced Carrots
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup Pictsweet frozen Seasoning Blend
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs or crushed herb croutons


Place frozen carrots in a saucepan and cover with water. Place on stove top and bring to a boil. Boil 3 minutes. Drain. Sauté seasoning blend in butter until tender. Stir in flour, salt, mustard, pepper and milk. Cook and stir until smooth. Grease a 2-quart casserole dish. Make 2 layers each of carrots, cheese and sauce. Top with seasoned bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
