Sweet and Sour Green Beans

Serves 4

  • 4 cups Pictsweet frozen Cut Green Beans
  • 3 strips bacon
  • 1/2 cup Pictsweet frozen Chopped Onions
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar


Place frozen beans and onions in saucepan and cover with water. Place on stove top and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 3 minutes. Drain. In a skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Drain and crumble. In a saucepan, combine the cornstarch, salt, mustard and water until smooth. Bring to a boil and cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in brown sugar and vinegar. Add the beans and bacon. Serve while hot.
