Serves 6

  • 4 cups Pictsweet frozen Chopped Mustard Greens
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can undrained, diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup Pictsweet frozen Chopped Onions
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper
  • 3 teaspoons apple cider vinegar


Place frozen greens in a saucepan and cover with water. Place on stove top and bring to a boil. Boil 3 minutes. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 25 minutes. Drain and set aside. Drain tomatoes, reserving 1/4 cup tomato juice. In a saucepan, combine tomatoes, tomato juice, frozen chopped onions, sugar, butter, salt, pepper, and vinegar. Bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Serve tomato salsa over cooked mustard greens.
