Holiday Glazed Carrots

Apricot preserves give a great taste for many dishes. It is especially good with carrots.

Serves 8

  • 6 cups Pictsweet frozen Sliced Carrots
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/3 cup apricot preserves
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • Fresh lemon juice


Place frozen carrots in saucepan and cover with water. Place uncovered saucepan on stove top and bring to a boil. Boil 3 minutes. Drain. Heat and strain apricot preserves. In a skillet, melt butter and stir in preserves, nutmeg, pepper, orange zest and lemon juice to taste. Cook until glaze consistency. Add carrots to pan and coat with apricot glaze.
