Serves 6

  • 8 cups Pictsweet frozen Broccoli Cuts
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 cup diced, cooked ham
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup light cream
  • 8 oz. shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup softened butter


Place broccoli and chicken broth in a saucepan. Add enough water to cover broccoli. Place on stove top and bring to a boil. Boil 3 minutes. Drain. Puree broccoli in blender or food processor. Combine milk, ham, salt and pepper in a large saucepan. Heat this mixture to boiling. Simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in broccoli, cream, Swiss cheese and butter. Cook until heated through. Do not boil. Garnish with Swiss cheese, if desired.
