Serves 8

  • 6 cups beef broth or stock
  • 1/2 pound diced country ham for seasoning
  • 10 cups Pictsweet frozen Chopped Collard Greens
  • salt to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • hot sauce (optional)


In a large pot, bring 6 cups of broth to a boil. Add diced country ham and greens. When the broth returns to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 2 hours. Add more broth if needed. Season the soup to taste with salt, pepper and hot sauce (if desired). Serve with a cornbread muffin
