Ingredients

Serves 4

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups Pictsweet frozen Vegetables for Cajun Gumbo
  • 1/2 link (1 1/2 oz.) fully cooked Andouille sausage, thinly sliced (about 1/3 cup)
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • hot sauce to taste
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 4 teaspoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup coarsely grated mild white cheddar cheese
  • 1 (12 inch) pre-baked pizza crust

Directions

Heat oil in large skillet; add frozen vegetables for cajun gumbo and cook, stirring occasionally, until completely thawed. Add 1/2 cup water and cook until water has evaporated and onions begin to brown, about 10 minutes. Add Andouille and cook, stirring 1 minute longer; transfer mixture to a bowl and add hot sauce to taste. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Whisk milk, flour and 1/8 teaspoon salt in same skillet and bring to a boil. Cook, stirring constantly 1 minute; stir in 1/3 cup cheese. Spread sauce over crust; sprinkle with 1/3 cup cheese. Spoon vegetable and sausage mixture over cheese and top with remaining cheese. Bake until cheese melts and begins to brown, 12 to 15 minutes.
