Sweet and Sour Peas

This dish is a perfect complement to roast pork or chicken.


Serves 6

  • 4 cups Pictsweet frozen Field Peas with Snaps
  • 1/2 cup Pictsweet frozen Chopped Onions
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes


In a saucepan, place frozen field peas with snaps, onions, water, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Place on stove top and bring to a boil. Boil 3 minutes. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 40 minutes or until peas are tender.
