Southern Vegetable Stew
A traditional recipe to serve on that first cold day.
Ingredients
Serves 8
- 1 1/2 cups Pictsweet frozen Seasoning Blend
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 4 cups Pictsweet frozen Okra and Tomatoes
- 1 cup Pictsweet frozen Baby Lima Beans
- 1 cup Pictsweet frozen Cut Corn
- 1/2 cup uncooked, instant rice
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Directions
In a large Dutch oven, sauté frozen seasoning blend in melted butter until tender. Add broth and frozen vegetables. Bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes. Stir in rice and pepper. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
