Sausage and Pasta Delight

This Italian dish has universal appeal. If you like things on the spicy side, add a little hot sauce or red pepper.


Serves 6

  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 3 cups Pictsweet frozen Broccoli Florets
  • 1 cup Pictsweet frozen Chopped Onions
  • 1 lb. bulk pork or turkey sausage
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz.) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1/2 cup Romano cheese, shredded


Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and keep warm. Place frozen broccoli and onions on stove top. Cover vegetables with water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook for 3 minutes. Drain. In a large skillet, cook sausage until brown. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Drain. Add broccoli, onions and tomatoes and cook until bubbly hot. Add cooked pasta and stir until well mixed. Place mixture in a serving dish and top with shredded cheese.
